Hey guys, I'm new here. I have 2 NIB Tecumseh AV600's from my uncle, they have a short threaded crank. He said the would be good for a minibike or go kart project. What were originally for? Snowblower? Any help you could give me I appreciate! Jim
before you do anything else make sure you can mount a clutch to it if you cant then your done
I have had a few of these engines http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/tecumseh-engines/52809-tecumseh-tcii-2-cycle-2-hp.html
they are rated at 3hp most of them were intended for el cheapo flapper snow blowers
also you will need to find or make a engine mount for it
These might be higher HP rating....I'll check them out tomorrow. Is there a demand for them? I guess you could swap a crank or machine an adapter for a clutch to attach. My dad has a machine shop. Was saving for a mini bike project or a dual engine kart. Or Maybe I can sell and get something else. I wonder what they are worth? Do you know? Thanks!

Yeah I think that's a ice auger or a post hole digger. See the way the diaphragm faces down away from the pull start? That's the way the engine was mounted, pull start facing straight up so it had to be a machine that came straight down from that little PTO. I've had an ice auger engine that went like that. Called a Jiffy something.
