That question is a bit vague and open to the responders bias. Is this your first? What is most important? Simple or complex design? Easy to find parts? Full suspension or hard tail? 2 cycle or 4? Transmission or torque converter? You looking to restore or find something that's already been gone through? What is your budget?

Not knowing anything that you may need. I would go for a Mini Baja/Warrior. Plenty on Craigslist and you can usually find one for around $300
