WORTH a RESTORATION or JUNK ! TECumseh H-70

I Picked up a Wards FAT TIRE BIKE That came with a TECUMSEH MODEL H-70 130054A Serial # 3059R
I was thinking about going thru the motor and bringing it back to life or are they Junk !
Good Compression and it runs

If it has good compression and runs then why not just run it as is? Just change the oil, new plug, clean carb and put fresh gas in it and ride the hell out of the minibike. I wouldn't get any small engine bored, honed, new piston and bearings because it cost too much. I can buy great running 7hp Tecumseh for about $70 or a newer 10hp for about $100 in my area.

The H-70 is a brute, I would use it if you can. If it's original to the bike, it might have an aluminum flywheel. It might even have a lighting coil (score!!!!)

Is it a wards T777?

if it's a Wards 777 Buffalo the 7 is probably original and worth it's weight in gold since the wards also have a light coil.

You'll find on this forum that if it has good compression and runs we seldom trash it!
