Edwin,
There was alot of knocking and then it stuck. It was a billet rod.
Keep in mind this engine is from 2002. It's older. The crank was probably original, who knows.
This was always intended to be a temporary engine until I figured out what I thought I wanted to build. Now I have to make a quicker than anticipated decision.
I'm looking forward to racing again and am sorry I missed Perris. I'll probably need at least 2 weeks to put something together.
Edwin,
Man, that track looks great! When will the new one be done? Will mini bikes be part of the regular program? How many guys did you get last night?
Hi Edwin,
The rod gave out at the crank during practice. I had planned on building another motor, but I wasn't going to do it until the end of this season after I had gained more experience. I figured after one season I would know what I needed.
This motor is a Briggs Intek, definitely not made to put out horsepower. So I'm going to have to rush my plans and move forward building something else. I'm sorry I will be missing Perris tonight.
