Would that be the same as saying the crank was twisted, because I was given a bunch of parts from a racing cart and the guy who gave them to me said the crankshaft was "twisted" but he couldn't say why it was twisted?

Can anyone explain how to go about selecting the right shocks for a bike? I noticed they all have a load compression weight and I don't want them to be too stiff or would anyone know how to change the stiffness of fox campus shocks
