Good old HM80. 1" crank. Came off a chipper. Its been sitting a long time. Gas tank was crushed so i pulled it off. I squirt fuel in the carb and it fired right up. Will for sure need carb work. Beyond that, I know nothing about it. Im not a Tecumseh guy. $50 + Shipping

My HM 80 block is scored pretty bad. Looking for a good shortblock I have heard there are .030 over pistons for thus engine but have not seen any. I might be able to bore mine out that far and get it clean. You can see pics in the projects section. Shortblock is preferable tho.

I have an HM80 that is on a VT8012. I cant get a spark / attached pics of the Mag and Coil assembly. Does anyone know how to test the Mag to make sure it is good? I am replacing the condenser as its cheap and I am in that far. Any other ideas of what to check? Thanks to all

I have no less than 3 beautiful running complete HM80 Tec's sitting in my garage. The problem is that all 3 have tapered crankshafts. Is there anyone that machines the taper and sleeves the crank to make it a straight PTO end?

Hi, I have a HM80-155327L with a carburetor stamped 101 which crosses to a 631105. I can't find that number in a replacement carburetor. Will any carburetor replacement for a HM80 work or does it have to be specific to the 631105? Thanks

My HM80 has a lot of play in the vertical governor shaft and consequently, I cant get the engine to idle slow enough to use it. Can you tell me if there supposed to be a bushing between the shaft and the sump cover or is the casting just badly worn? Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks...

I came across what looks to be a modified Super Bronc VT-8. The first step is to get it running but no spark. What's the best way to determine why there is no spark? I'm not much of a small engine guy and have never seen a magneto like this.
