I just got my NOS Ohlsson and Rice engine and the instructions say to mix SAE 30 oil with the gas, my question is, wouldn't 2 stroke oil be better than SAE 30 oil? And if SAE 30 would that be detergent or non-detergent?

On my Tecumseh 5.5 OHV motor, the air/fuel mixture screw on the carb moves quite easily and frequently from the {{{ViBrAtIoNs}}} of the running motor. I thought that maybe it had a "spring-loaded" screw that would keep tension on the screw but there is no spring -and- the small engine parts...

I have read the Mikuni manual twice. I would like to know who has used an air/fuel mixture guage to get a reading from the exhaust gases. And how it may have worked for you? Did you spend $50.00 or $200+ to achieve perfect mixture ratios, or did you just wing it? TT :thumbsup:

Well It happen, the air/mixture screw broke on my BRAND NEW clone,And nobody just sells the screw,and they want a ton of money for a stock one. Anybody on here have a stock one they will let go dirt cheap.

I have a 2.5 hp Briggs that i am fixing up. When i cleaned the carb i noticed the mixture needle was grooved. Would a local mower shop carry a simple replacement needle? Or would i have to salvage the one i have?
