Finally finish assembled my latest bike today. The throttle linkage took some figuring out. It's a 1969 3hp copper briggs with the updraft carb. Not missing any parts for the governor. I set it up so that the square rod gets pulled down by the twist throttle' s cable. That looks like it should...

I need an updraft carb for a 3.5 and a 5hp briggs engine, a late model EPA would be fine off the newer models. Some Troy-built tillers had them on 5hps and some later 3.5s also had them. Now I'd take a vintage unit for both if it is functional or rebuildable! Thanks as always!:thumbsup:

Im putting my rupp continental back together with a briggs 3hp that has an updraft carb. i got it to fire up but only when it is choked. when you open it up it lurches forward then dies. i know there is an adgusting screw @ the bottom of the float bowl as well as the usual screw. it revs really...
