49cc baja dirt bike

I was given this bike this morning. Can't find anything saying its a gas oil mix. If it is, 50:1 ok to run in it? Has compression and spark just need to add fuel

I am pretty sure it a 4 stroke , a honda clone i maybe wrong but unless its old 2 strokes have been gone awhile now.

They are listed on Ebay as 4 stroke! You can check them out on MonsterScooterParts. They have pdf on them. Engines are available at $250.

Thanks guys. I downloaded the PDF and it also says 4 stroke. Not sure what I want to do with the thing yet but it might be fun to ride around

Haven't tried to start it yet. Maybe tomorrow. Missing a peg and seat plastic is broken. No big deal for now

Had a gokart some 40 plus years ago that I put a Honda 50cc motor on. It was a 4 speed, it made that gokart haul butt. Put the motor in a gokart.

How old is the dirtbike? The reason I ask is that the 50cc and the 70 cc models had a recall due to defective gas tank that can allow gas to leak onto the engine. I believe it resulted in actual fires and people getting hurt. You might want to make sure this one is not part of the recall.

I'll have to look it up. I'm going to replace the fuel line and put an inline filter. It's been sitting at least a year

Added gas cleaned the plug pulled a hand full of grass from air cleaner. 2 kicks later it's running now I need on foot peg and a tube. I hoped it wouldn't run so I could use I'd for parts
