ARC Adjustable Billet Flywheel Problems

The ARC adjustable billet flywheel I bought for my 5hp Briggs I/C is hitting on the block where the mounts for points are. This motor doesn't use points but the mounts were still casted on the block. Here's the pictures so you know what I mean.

I imagine I could cut those off and the smooth them out with a die grinder, but has anyone else had this problem? and what did you do?

Clayon, check out the thread "ARC Flywheel Doesn't Fit?" from a couple of weeks ago. I thought I had just read about this problem. It seems its a common problem.
