Racing fuel only makes a difference if you are experiencing detonation. Otherwise, it is a waste of $$$.

I have used Trick, VP and other "performance" fuels, and if there is no detonation, you are contributing to their profit.

Exactly. 87 octane has more btus than 93 octane gas. If an engine is not detonating with 87 octane fuel it will slow down with higher octane fuel. I used to laugh at people putting race gas in stock vehicles and thinking they are helping things.

Race fuel would only make a difference if it was oxygenated.
