I'm going to start a rebuild on a 1500sh soon ?
And I will be relying on some input from
fellow OldMiniBikes member's on tech info since
there's not a lot of treads on this model ?

1st I want too tear it apart and clean everything
and do a repaint or powder coat like BC Dave's
bogus build and use the same powder coating shop.
I would to get it to the roller stage while I look for missing
parts? IMG_0195.JPG IMG_0192.JPG

Seems like a trend of common thought here...I guess we are trying to influence you !

Like Buck commented, it is your bike....but it seems so dificult to find a survivor (around here anyway's).

Either way, enjoy it.

That is a survivor, Please Keep it that way and you save money. Sounds like a WIN WIN. I can sen you pictures of my BC1500 survivors to keep you interested. That bike will clean up really well, you will be impressed.

This is my latest BC1500 survivor. In the process of rebuilding the motor.

Thanks everybody for the advice on leaving as a survivor!
Sylwillez thanks on the pic's of your new find! what # does that make?
and if you can post some more links to other hodaka builds?
I think when I get the motor off and clean off the grime it should be alright?
I have a spare set of kidney beans and fenders that I can get chromed but
Could also be used my other bikes if I change my mind?
Now for some questions?
1-The motor is missing the spark plug ! Which one does it take?
2-The coil is mounted on one of the upper frame brackets under the front seat mount?
3-Are the fenders interchangeable with other BC frames?
4-The headlight ring is missing the part the bolt screws into can some one post a pic of the ring setup?
Thanks!!!!

View attachment 72442 is this what you're looking for?
Doggie if that is what you need send me a pm. That's an awesome bike. I think everyone is right. It's nice to have a bike sitting around as if you plucked it from the 70s right after a weekend of riding it around. But it would be awesome to see it as if it was just purchased from your local mini bike dealer in the 70s as well. Either way you have a gem now that most of us members would trade all our bikes for. Treat it right whatever you decide to do with it. And post plent of pictures.

I got the 1500 from the 2nd owner who bought it from a co-worker who's grandfather would ride up around Clear Lake! Then it was kept in a basement for 15yrs or so? He got it 2yrs ago and except for trying too clean the chrome with a brilo pad:doah:
he never did anything more to it! The tires are perfect phone3 043.jpg
thanks Mike

That bike makes it the fifth BC 1500 survivor i have. I also have a BC 1500 rider that was a BC1400 to begin with but, the bike is 100% with a real bonanza exhaust.

1. NGK spark plug B-8
2. The coil is mounted correctly.
3. All 1969 and up fenders or the square corners are correct.
4. And AJF is showing you the end you are missing. Just find a new headlight ring.

For pictues just looking through my pictures in my profile. Lots of pictures I never posted like "Not so mini bike" said.
