Briggs vanguard 4hp Carb

anyone know what Carb options I have for a briggs 4hp Vanguard OHV ? would a mikuni work? I compared the briggs carb to the clone carb and the bolts that hold it on are in a diff place. one side by side and the other canted at like 10 oclock and 4 oclock. (hard to explain sorry). Just looking to up grade. Thanks for the help. ( as soon as I get a "classic" engine ie. tec or flathead, I will replace the vanguard. Its an older one prob 6 years or so).

you need to make a intake. use 1" size thin wall pipe

I wouldn't suggest modifying a motor that doesn't have aftermarket parts. Making it rev higher is just gonna make it blow up.

I dont beat the crap out of these things. I use the throttle in "moderation". and just want to know if any aftermarket carbs bolt on. or do i have to make an intake. that might be the way to go.:thumbsup:

Maybe the Animal intake, or make one, with a 18-20mm carb.
