At what level of engine build is additional case venting beneficial/ required? Is it just after governor removal or is it related to a specific RPM? My engine is nothing fancy but I do have a side cover leak.

When you hit a certain point the valve cover vent won't work well enough, and you will need to add more ventilation points.

Ask MDB, he build high-po engines and he has some pretty wicked vent setups.

i'd guesstimate above 15HP you'd be needing some breather vents. Maybe even 15?

i would say as soon as you use an aftermarket breather .
