chain length issue

I'm upgrading a Monster Moto MMB 80 with a 212 Predator and ran into an issue when installing the new (longer) chain...

I cut the chain to what I thought would be the right length but when installed with the tensioner fully relaxed it was too tight so I added one link (#35 chain) and with the tensioner adjusted to the max it seems like it's too loose...!

...So...should I wait until the new chain stretches some, relax the tensioner and remove the link or should I modify the tensioner travel length ??

get a half-link. They sell them at Tractor Supply or Northern Tool if you have one nearby.

Thanks...is a half link the same as an "offset" link ?

yes, same thing. You should be able to get them for under $.50 each if you buy 1-2 -- and for about $3 for 10 of them. I try to keep stuff like that on hand since I end up needing it all the time
