chain tensioner ideas / advice.

i have this bike that has been giving me trouble with the chain since i first started working on it. there are tight spots and loose spots in chain play up and down, as i spin the rear wheel. the rear sprocket wobbles and i believe this is the reason for chain issues. i read on here that those pressed one piece sprockets are not very true. the chain "clunks" every once in awhile (i did start a thread about that awhile ago), which drives me crazy every time i hear it, thinking something is very wrong. because of this i am nervous about really digging in and riding this thing. i thought maybe the chain tightness was pulling the engine back a bit , allowing the chain to loosen up even more. so i kind of rigged up that nut and bolt stopper. seemed to work very little. i just can't find a happy middle, either too loose or too tight.
so, i was thinking on going a chain tensioner route. if i do that, i was thinking about moving the engine all the way forward to go with a longer chain. I'm not sure how to attach one with this set up. I've included some pics to aide in any ideas and or advice you could give. thank you.

I think your sprocket is bent is why you are seeing this problem. In your situation, ideally a chain tensioner that put tension on the chain with spring tension would be best. I made one for my Honda creation but the sprockets are not bent so constant tension was fine. I included some links that may help.
