Check out what I found as possibly the largest motorcycle junkyard ever...

What a sad waste of history. Thanks to greed and hoarding, it's all gone. No good to anyone and not worth a dime. Something maybe we should all keep in mind with our own stashes. If we have parts we know we'll never need or bikes we'll never get around to restoring, sell them to a fellow member who can put them to good use. I think this hobby should be about rescuing bikes and preserving history, not hoarding and making a buck. JMO

The next time you go visit take a big truck and as soon as he touches a gas tank hit him on the head, then you can take what you like

dang! all of that gone because he was a tight wad!
Do you think he even had it insured? Insurance or not, it would kill me to know that all of those died while in my care, when as a custodian, I feel we are supposed to help and restore and preserve and just in general keep em going for the next set of hands to touch and enjoy them.
streams of aluminum, man that hurts! I'll bet the guy is devastated!

Thats why when I bring stuff to Windber and put it on the table. It doesn't come home. If I am selling it then I dont need it... If it doesn't sell I toss it on the guys table next to me....

I'm sure he is a decent guy and had good intentions, but if the descriptions of him are true, I doubt too many people are going to be running to his aid and making donations.

Arson..... I was thinking the same thing after reading the article and they didn't mention any wild fires. Sounded like the guy didn't exactly make a lot of friends.
