That engine looks awesome! I have had two of those Clinton 2-stroke engines. The same problem with both of them, crankshaft seals going bad and then floods out the points with the gas/oil mixture. Not too hard to fix, just need new seals. If that’s not the problem, there are some people on this forum that really know their stuff about two-stroke Clintons. You’ll get it going!

Thanks!! I just don't want to damage the engine, I have no clue what I'm looking at. I had a few people coach me through first start up and how to adjust it. I tried to do exactly as told and it went well for a while then the thing just died. Old motor, no telling what went wrong. I'm not too confident in myself to get it going [emoji23] I will probably ship it to one of those Clinton experts if they let me [emoji23]

I think you are on to something though, sounds about right for what is happening

Ohh, wanted to say thankyou to [MENTION=5969]markus[/MENTION] for showing my dad and I how to grommet these seats. Very informative thread on a chopper build he did.

I can't run the purple one yet but I got to sit on it, didn't realize how small these bikes are [emoji23] never seen one in person before and got these as just frames.

Blue one should be done 100% Monday. Tomorrow I can't work on it, my mom wouldn't have that [emoji23]

They are done!! I didnt realize the recoil decal doesnt come in for 2 weeks (ebay seller is on vacation) so my dad had to put something on it for now :laugh: . Both bikes are done and run great! Need to wait for weather to be right for ride video, hopefully wednesday.
