I just picked up a Magic Rider, Tecumseh engine, 3.5 hp. Model is H35 45355H, seriel 11838.

Can someone please tell me if it is a 71 or 81?? It is not a side popper, I have one of those I will need help with identifying later

Thanks for your expertise in both posts. I will get better pictures on here as soon as I figure it out. IT came from outside Albany NY. I found the badging unusual myself and could find no information on the magic rider badging.

Is Magic Rider some model of MTD ive never heard of? That IS an MTD isnt it?? Same engine on my two MTD' s that came engines too.

Did u just buy it off ebay? I seem to remember a guy selling a red MTD Columbia as a Magic Rider"
