just got it last nite from ohio. 100% original down to the valve caps.. barn shed find. sat for over 40 yrs.. has rust from sitting.. tires hold air.. has rear rack. 4 hp tec. now do I just leave it alone or restore? carb is frozen up. motor not locked up. rear brakes move but does not stop. maybe pads are worn out. older couple bought new in 70 used for camp site so I heard.. nice vintage fox campus.. I like it as is.. maybe just leave alone. part of American history.. old guy has the paper work but cant find it. he is 83 now.. any ideas?

If it is original, and in good shape, then leave it as is.

A little rust from sitting would be expected....and lends credence to the patina. (imo)

Congratulations by the way!

Leave it alone, and it continues on it's merry journey towards returning to it's natural state- (some people call rust patina) Of course someone may have already offered you money for it, since there is a fox fan base.

I'd repair all that was broken using original parts. The degree of restoration I'd perform has a lot to do with how bad it's rusted...er...patina'd.

Yep, Iron Honky shared a brochure elsewhere and I realized they made such a animal.
I'm sure I knew at some time or other.

Guess another one I need when my lotto numbers match up.:devil2:
