frame mounted gas tank

if you have a 6.5 clone with just a 22mm mukini carb air filter and a header,and thinking about putting a frame mounted gas tank if front of the seat do you need a fuel pump?

No, it will be gravity fed... As long as the lowest point on the tank is above the fuel inlet on the carb you will be ok and as long as the fuel line is on a constant downward angle before attaching to the carb....If the fuel line comes off the tank and goes back uphill at some point you may want a pump, try the bike first, if it starves for fuel install a pump..A fuel pump is never a bad idea, just not always needed..
