Every year on the Sunday of labor day weekend my buddy puts on a big cookout at his place for some local car clubs and gear heads in general, some of us bring out a few toys for the kids both big and small to enjoy, my daughter was in town for the event and I asked her to get a some friends over for a shakedown run around the neighborhood before we loaded everything up, 5 of us hit the streets and did a couple of laps, we were only out for 10-15 min and were back in the driveway when 2 of our local PD cruisers stopped by for a visit, I told him we were done on the streets for the day, fortunantly we had a very cool cop and we chatted for a bit about this and that, took 4 minis and a Manco 2 seater out and had a blast, at the end of the day the only casualties were a broken chain on the Thunderbird and the throttle cable on the cart, easy fixes considering the beating everything took today...................Tom.
