Hilliard Clutch Engagement RPM on Taco

I'm putting together my first mini bike (Taco 44) with a Lifan 6.5hp blue clone engine, I know the 2300rpm stock engagement will work, but am just wondering if it's a bit high... what is everyone else running? What do these motors idle at? i'd think 1,500 rpm tops idle, which in that case 2300 shouldn't be too bad for clutch engagement.

i believe most standard clutches engage around 2200rpm.

That's about where they should engage. If any lower, you would bog down at take off.
