That's what they are saying, but you know how it is with NE weather. I guess we try and fit it in, if it rains then we can stop and try again another time. I'm staying optimistic lol

Just checked the weather for Walpole MA, as of now, it shows no rain till 8pm tomorrow night...
My son and I are loaded up and will be heading there in the morning...It's a 3 1/2 hour ride for us, so I'm hoping for a good turn out and decent weather...

Fastest bike in MA was indeed there today, sadly that bike was not mine lol. The cops threw us out before we could do eliminations.
These were the first full passes I have made on the new clutch setup. I think my bike still has more in it, I need to up the idle speed for more heat in the motor and harder launch.
Thanks so much 1bxmopar for bringing the radar gun.
My first pass was 34mph, then I turned the idle up 1000rpm. Next pass 38mph. I still had more room to go with the idle so I think I could have gone faster plus spinning the tire. The bike needs a little more test and tune but once it's dialed in it should do 40mph. All the fancy electronics on the bike will help me to tune the clutch better.

Congratulations to majunkman (Herb and Son Racing) for running 39mph which is the fastest anyone has run so far in the 100ft!
My 38mph was faster than anyone had gone until that point but Herb and Son put the hurt on me just like last year.
We never got the chance to race side by side but I say they won by running 39mph. I think I could have got the bike to run a little better and give them a race but cops put and end to the festivities. Couldn't have lost to better people, Herb and Son are a class act all the way.

Was great to see everyone again, bummer that we had to move but we made the best of the situation. 1bxmopar it was great of you to make the trip all the way from Brooklyn, thanks for coming and bringing some nice bikes too. It was great to meet you and your son sorry it was cut short but hope you had a decent time.
My Dad couldn't make it either, bummer cause his bike is fast too.

I learned something today:
We need to find a good place to race these bikes where we don't get shut down by the man. I think I made 4 passes, hardly enough to get the bike dialed in properly. Just when all the bikes are warmed up and everyone's ready and excited, bam.
I am more than willing to pay good money to race where it won't get shut down.

All in all I had a fun time, I already changed the oil and flushed the fuel system and took the motor off the bike. Put it away for the winter, will come back next year hopefully faster and quicker than this year.
Thanks again everyone for showing up and making some runs. Some amazing bikes there today some of my favorites.

I had a good time today at the Drags despite the preemption of the local PD. I shot some video, but not a lot, I never got a run in either. Ya well. Nice to see everybody, special thanks for Massacre and Donny for their work getting this together. Hopefully we can find a better place to race in the future.

So what the cops say? Just get out of here ?
yea the cops told us the businesses complained and we had to leave. there was no need for more action than that, cops said leave so we packed up and left.

my bikes exhaust pipe snapped off during a test run. and wasn't running right due to that, bad trimming, so I ran the trike instead. I found out today that its geared to high for the 100 feet . if I bring it again I'll have to drop the gearing. I think my bikes exhaust broke because I was running a heavy muffler and the end of the pipe wasn't braced. I'll fix that, lesson learned. I've also still got some tuning issues to resolve with the carb. the bike likes to stall on takeoff.

I'm really glad you had a good time, I felt bad because of the long drive. One of my best buds is from Brooklyn I wanted to talk to you more but between getting moved and the cops it was kinda hard.
Making the bike quicker means making runs and tuning.
I do have that 3" block which I might need to beat Herb's 440 but I think I can still run with him with the current small motor. And Joe is always super fast too next year should be good. Let's try to get something going in the Spring instead of waiting til fall.

Donny texted me today, he thinks he might have a lead on a spot. Like a legit thing at a racetrack no cops involved. I will keep you guys updated.
