Hi Gearhead024, Thanks for your interest, I'm not selling it as I like the fact that it is a transitional built Lil Indian bike
and not many were made according to them. I don't see many Lil Indians up here in Minnesota, but I'll keep an eye out
and let you know. Jim

From my research here I believe this to be an early 7000 Grand Series with Briggs and Stratton engine. I am new at this so help me if I am wrong.
The handlebar mounts are welded to a plate then that plate bolts to the top of the fork plate
Serial #: 37758
Color: Forest Green
Handlebars: Bolt on
Foot Pegs: Rear
Wheels: Four Spoke Mag
Engine Plate: No Hole
Brake Caliper Bracket: Three-hole style
Shocks: Mounted straight up
Engine ID Number: No engine
Jack Shaft: Two Speed

Very, very, early 1969 7000 series.
Are you able to help me figure out what rear brake caliper I need? I am in my early stages of learning L'il Indians, research tells me there are two rear caliper mounting brackets that could have been welded to the frame, a two hole and a three hole. The one welded to my frame is three hole but it had this plate bolted to it and I am wondering if it adapted it to the two hole so manufacturing could finish using up an inventory of two hole calipers or vise-versa?

That bolt on plate is original to the 1968 Grand series up to the 69 version which changed to the later 2-hole bracket. All grand series used the 2-bolt design caliper. That is why I think your is a very early 69. Your swing arm would be carried over from 68. Until they changed the caliper bracket design. If you can find one, it will bolt right up. They are hard to find. Even when you find one, they are pricey. The only real difference in all of them is that in 68 they used a "stop" pin. Pressed into the caliper casting. Eliminated in later years. Also, the back 1/2 of the caliper that faces the tire when mounted had either no ribs or some. 68 had no ribs. I sold one a few years ago on this site. Try doing a search in the for-sale section.
You will see what you're looking for.
