I picked this Lil Indian up to build for my kids. My son is 22 months and my daughter is only 5 months old so I have a few years.

I was told this is a model 700 that came with a B&S 5hp. My plans are to run a 2 or 3 hp engine for now. But I'm thinking about building a 5hp and have it ready. The mini came with a 1972 5hp that's in rough shape.

The original color looks to be gold. I'm not sure if I'll go with gold or blue for the frame and forks. The engine and wheels will be white and I can't decide if the fenders will be white or chrome.

There are several broken welds, re-welds and cracks on the frame. The foot peg will need replaced as well as the neck. The seat brackets need removed and place in the correct position.

I am going to run a band brake on the clutch and would like to add a kick stand.

Lil Indy has a big brother now :smile: I also purchased a rear wheel from a board member for Lil Indy. Thanks OldMiniBikes :thumbsup:

Lucky! The one on ebay I bet :shrug: I was salavating over it but could not justify buying it as I didn't have use and was too pricey for quick resell if I had to dump it. I was thinking it might look cool just on the back as its a fatty and just use an Indian head 4.10 on the front :thumbsup:

Ding ding ding ding YOU WIN :laugh: Its a little more than I wanted to spend :hammer: The model 700 came with this size tire MINI-MATIC said. I only had one used tire that came with the bike that I can use until a find a better one.

yea thats a way cool tire, they were also available as an option as well for the other models. that guy ships fast, I have bought a few NOS tires from him in the past :thumbsup:

Yeah its way nicer than Lil Indy. The top plate on the forks is bend a little and has 2 extra holes drilled in it. Other than that I can't find anything wrong with it and I inspected it three times now. I offered it to another board member and if he doesn't buy it I'll be dropping it off for some powder coating :wink:

No jbrocks it doesn't rain Lil Indians, :laugh: I wish it rained the hard to find parts :hammer: I ended up selling this frame I just bought. I did keep the wheels and tires :thumbsup: I already have sellers remorse but I have to many projects at the moment plus I want to fabricate a Little Frijole that has a 30" wheel base. Nate
