Marking ther spot

#1
Two of my bikes have Briggs motors (Cat400X & Ruttman Toad) I keep them in our heated basement over our long winter and I've noticed after changing the oil that they both seem to be leaking a little oil, nothing major maybe a couple of tablespoons. One is a 1966 the other from the mid 70's. Is this normal like an old Harley or British bike "marking their spot"?

Ponytail, my minibikes mark their spot a little after I change the oil, but that's because I'm a slob:doah:and usually dribble some on the frame, or tilt the bike and pour some out the fill. Once I jiggled the funnel outta the fill and poured oil all over:censure:! No matter how well I wipe it off, it's hard to get it all, some always leaks on the floor. Both engines are 2014.

Gee, I have a 1968 BSA Lightning, 1971 BSA Lightning and a 1972 Triumph Trident and none of them have ever leaked a drop of oil in the 20 years I have owned them. My Briggs does leak a little bit.
