Minibike noob here from Alabama....

#1
Hey folks,

I am glad I found this forum. I am 44 years old and I am always looking for projects to do with my buys, ages 8 and 12.

We enjoy lots of things but like most kids, they like things with motors and wheels.

I am looking for a bike to start with, for us to restore and get running.

I will try not to ask too many stupid questions.....lol.

Glad to be here.

You'd have 20,000 if it weren't for your secret powers.

I know, you actually contribute something though.

Holy Smokes!

I spent just a little while browsing through the custom bike pictures and BAM.....dozens of welcomes!

Many thanks for all the welcomes ya'll!

I didn't expect such a response!

Well, may I ask questions here or is there another sections for that?

At the moment I am curious if there is a way to find a link to "build threads" from the pictures in the custom bike pictures section.

For example, I found a beautiful little turquoise bike by a member named Delray. I was able to view the images but I saw no way to find if they were linked to a build thread about the bike. It may be in plain sight.....I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.:doah:

I would like to know more about it. Very pretty bike.

If this is the wrong venue for such questions, please re-direct me.

Many thanks, Brad

I use to live in Vinemont out by the airport. Worked at Woodland and CRMC.
I love Cullman. Especially All Steak orange rolls. Williams BBQ makes a mean cheesburger too.
Not sure Delray did a build thread on that particular bike.
Project logs in the project log section. That's where some of the finer builders show off their skills.
There are a ton of great fab guys, restorers, custom builders, and great amount of info.
You have any bikes right now?? If not, good luck finding anything vintage down this way. Far and few between.
Few of us Bama boys here.
Young buck in Blountsville has. Pretty nice Heald VT-5,or a Trail Bronc. His handle is Trailbronc. I think, he might make ya a deal. Needs some parts but, nice project.
Another guy over by Anniston,Paul H. Good guy.
