What a difference a new belt the proper size made for my Nova 670 Tote Gote!
It had a 7/8 belt on and pitched that in the street last week so I was forced to get a belt. Ordered the 15/16 (1522V270) belt and what a difference it made. I have 10 mph more top speed and it pulls harder up hills, just all around better!
I shudda done it first thing, but be'n a "cheap charlie" I put it off since it had a working belt.
At first I thought I would have to move the motor to get more slack at idle. With the new belt on I fired it up and the back wheel was churning away at idle and I put my foot on it and it almost snatched my boot and all into the Gote LOL
I took a couple of runs down the street and pulled our local "Widow Maker" and it limbered up so it is just barely pulling at idle. Just a slight pull on the brake to keep it where it is. Almost like a auto transmission on a car, let your foot off the brake and it will creep forward. anyway, if you're running a 7/8 belt, spend the $30 and get a 15/16.... life will be better.
