I'd like to do a fat tire project next and have seen cool versions of
each, but I'm not a historian on these and would like to know what I should be
on the look out for…
Here are a few pictures of a Herters mini bike I used to own and a Hilltopper. The Heathkit Hilltopper is very comparable and probably easier to find than the Herters Trail . These 2 mini bikes are completely different to ride than a Terra Cat or El Burro type which have no suspension [except in the soft tires ]. I have ridden all 4 and the Hilltopper was the best for my trail riding off road .
Would like to see pictures of the other side of the bike . Wondering if it has a centrifical clutch or torque convertor on it . It looks like the original jackshaft is missing . I think it would have had a Salisbury unit on it .
