I was pullstarting my gx390 yasterday and the pull rope snaped back and tore the rope out of the handle.it snaped back really hard can anybody tell me why?(I do not have advance timming yet,billet rod, header, filter, flat top, thats all the mods i have for now)

if it has a flat top you got more compresion i supose thus forth maby the compresino releaso on the cam malfunctiond

the flat top wouldn't cause it.

start out by making sure the flywheel key didn't break.

Yep always check the ignition timing first, then check the cam timing.

Could also be loose rocker lash causing the compression release to not work very well.
