I'm not sure about the Bandit, but Rupp did mount the clutch guards on the insides of the brackets in 68/69. In 70, they used a plastic cover on most of their bikes and it mounted to the outside of the bracket.

In 1970, Rupp had a bike very similar to the Bandit called the Sprint. It used the same guard and mounted like the 68/69 guards.

You'll need to get the clip-in nuts to mount it, but I can't recall the name of those nuts at the moment.

EDIT: They're called Speed Nuts. You can get them anywhere, but these are the right size:

#10502 SPEED NUTS (2) 1/4"-20, For TC or clutch cover
