What should I do with this frame?

Hello all!
I have had this frame sitting at home for a few years now, and I believe now is the time to start working on it! I bought it as is from a co-worker for $50, who bought it from another coworker that was going to scrap it. I have ideas already, but would like to hear what the choir has to say.

A - Ground up rebuild.

B - Throw it together - Rat Rod style.

I really want to use a Honda G200 flathead, but I am having troubles finding one. I will use a Comet shoe clutch. I think I want white steel wheels, ribbed front tire, and slick rear tire. If I painted the frame and engine tin work, I would go with Safety Orange or Safety Red (Honda Red).

I am very much into retro stuff. I love stuff from the '50's, '60's, and '70's. I fact, my lady and I are currently trying to purchase a home that was built in 1948, and is full of '50's vibe. We would like to restro that home. So, I am in a '50's stage right now, and am leaning that direction for the style of this bike.

I look forward to the input of this site. Carry on...

Welcome:thumbsup:
Since you have the clutch cover I'd restore it, it's the hardest part to find by far.

Whichever you decide I have the correct wheels that fit the frame offset without spacers, a direct fit and the welded on sprocket is good. $65 shipped to your door. And the wheels will have no tires when they arrive, the ones on it are trash and you'll be glad I took em off. The rear wheel is on backwards in this picture. I've had several Wren/Runabouts and these are the best wheels I've gotten on any of em.

I also have a great running 1960 2.5hp briggs with embossed emblem on blower housing, it has a 3/4" shaft so it's a 2.5hp for sure and is on a working mower. I'd take it off and ship it to ya for $150 to your door.

I think I will throw some junk together for now and ride, until I get time and coin to do a resto-mod.
That's the spirit of minibiking my friend, I do the same thing all the time. Most of my stuff is thrown together, I have a few nice complete minibikes but way more riders and building more every day.

This was one of my Wrens, it now belongs to Tork620 a member here now since buying it and joining. It had it's original 2.5hp briggs that I still have and was sold with a 1972 rebuilt 2.5. I made a steel brake pad for it and also made a clutch cover not too unlike the original, it used the original mounting locations. Like I said I build riders, it was a really good one I hated to see go but I had to make room.

A few things. I scored a possible motivator, and HS40. I am still going to search for a H25 or H50 though. Also, I straightened the foot pegs, and got the forks close. I am not happy with the way the forks turned out, so I am going to continue to work on those.

What do I do about the headstock bolt? I have 1/2" to 1" gap between the neck on the triple trees. Anyone have photos of the way it should be?
