Gilson that air ram, of course, is off a motorcycle….looks like the clutch cover was wrapped? Stock exhaust is a big plus… Nice find

It’s all of the tins and even the stock air filter that is wrapped.

Big tube exhaust slips on over a stock looking briggs muffler.

Is it wrapped or airbrushed?
Or hydro dipped?
It is interesting, either way. Did he know any history? Was it his, or did it come with the property?
Kid is 17 and has a Pontiac now... it rode last year and “gets the mail” No info on the builder or any bike history.

I couldn’t think of it earlier but I believe the patterns like that are Hydro dipped on.. If grandpa airbrushed it I’ll keep the tins.

I am not an expert, but I am an old guy. That looks too old to be wrapped or hydro dipped.
If it was airbrushed, it was done by a real artist. Maybe a little bit twisted, but, think Tattoo artist....

I got some random stuff sold. Have the cash in my wallet. All I have to do is catch him when he’s there. I’ll probably do one better and leave a note for him to contact me. Of course driving by the house the bike is still setting there.
If you two have already discussed money, I'd leave a note and take the bike home.

ummm....my red neck experience tells me to leave other peoples' stuff alone until we shake hands and say "thank you".
Discussin' is one thing, but money talks.

We did discuss a price. A note has been tacked to the door. I have what he wants in cash.

Looking back at the photos I posted can anyone identifying if that’s a stock throttle bracket system?

Looks like an rc servo arm running over to a stock tec mini bike application throttle system.

I do not believe it’s airbrushing but I have no proof it’s not. That’s got to be hydrodipped on skulls.. I thought about watching videos of removing hydrodipping. Is there any real way to tell if it’s painted or dipped?

Just looks like stock Big Block governor linkage to me.
Some of the straw in the pic makes it look like extra linkage but it is not.

Hydrodipping is a method of applying paint, so both would end up with paint on the surface. I don't know for sure, but I would assume dipping the part would leave a thicker layer of paint than airbrushing.
You should be able to remove it with paint remover, wire wheel, sandpaper, blaster...
Some of that looks like a garden hose would take it off.
I think your pressure washer would do a number on it.

Where to start???
It sat for 8 years and is hydrodipped

As you would imagine chains/brakes etc. where all stuck. No spark Etc.. The brakes and all cables freed up without effort.

The carburetor got a kit installed and placed back on the engine. The fuel tank is spotless. That super start 12v 6 wat friction gen I tore apart cleaned and re-assembled works! It was rusted solid! So It working after re-assembly is just amazing.

This is probably one of if not the cleanest minibikes I’ll ever own. I have questions.. Post them here or start a new thread? A4D07879-71DD-44C9-9854-82A029421358.jpeg 06A07BAF-2EB7-4309-A1B2-CA335D3FD881.jpeg C52D09E8-F586-424A-88BF-96BDF38B3AAC.jpeg 0C0CE293-112C-4148-BB0C-A75883B12A45.jpeg

I would start a build thread in projects and rides. Are you planning on just cleaning it up and riding or strip it down and going further? Frame looks pretty clean but looks to have been repainted or touched up.
