"Please see the black and white photograph below of my Mom and Dad riding the scooter during the summer of 1946. (Incidentally, this is my favorite photograph of my parents as well!) This was shot at North Beach in North Hampton, NH and is one of only two images that I know of from the scooter’s early days. My Dad had just returned from WW II, where he had been stationed on the Aleutian Island chain in Alaska as a “fly boy” like so many millions of people, but that’s another story"

"Around 8 or 9 or 10. Somewhere in there. It was Easter morning in the mid 80's anyway. Easter was nearly as big as Christmas for my folks, walked outside to look for the baskets and my brother had a brand new bycicle. My mom asks "Didn't the Easter Bunny bring you anything? " I said "I guess not", so they lead me around the back yard until I discovered the Easter Bunnies gift behind a bush.

Not sure of the year, but it was a Honda 50 my old man rebuilt in small engine repair class."

My mom was recently going through some really old pictures, and found these of my dad that were given to her by my grandmother. Not the highest quality because they're pictures of pictures, but I will scan them later. This bike was bought new for my dad, then given to a cousin when my dad outgrew it, then given back to my dad when I was born. I've had it since then, and am now 29 years old. My father passed away in 2001, so the bike has tons of sentimental value and will be kept forever.
This is my dad in 1971, at 14 years old. He's riding at their summer cabin in Mt. Morris, WI.

Here's one of me, 26 years later, also age 14, on the same bike!
