Trikes with name and picture.

Well, I know it's a little bit of a stretch, but I had to add my latest and truthfully favorite 3 wheeled vehicle. One can't like 3 wheelers and not own the one made right in their home state, right?

This is a 1981 HMV Freeway built in the first gas crunch in the late 70's. This was the high end model with sunroof and optional larger engine. Was promised to give 80 mpg if driven 40mph. Last tank came in at 83mpg for me.

SpeeCo three wheeler. I finally worked out a deal with a guy I worked with, it took about four months but I got it. What I have found out about it is they were only made in 1983. They were called SpeeCo rough riders came in two different models a 500 and 800. The 500 model came with 5 hp briggs pull start only no head light and a fake gas tank on the tube between the seat and handle bars. The 800 model came with a 8 hp briggs pull and electric start, working head light and a fuctioning gas tank on the tube between seat and handle bars. This one is the 800 model and is unfortunally is missing a few parts.

Well as the story goes when Alsport Corp. went under the Tri-Sport line was bought up by Pro-Mark and they were out of I think Phoenix, Arizona so that's why the south western names on all their machines. They even used the molds for some of the TS Series trikes that Tri-Sport had moved away from.
What you have is the same as the RTS-8 and that frame was used on 3 engines the RTS-5 and RTS-8 and the RTS-MAC The RTS-8 with the Tecumseh up draft carb and a seat back fuel tank was Tri-Sport's best seller in the small frame series. I have two of the same Trikes in my garage. The RTS-8 used the bigger series torque converter and worked well. The white color was the big change that was made.
Should be a good summer time fun machine.

Here is my regular Nomad I got from another member "Swamperjmb" back when I bought Super Scat.

I had a new seat made. Moved the motor to where it should be, Put a quiet muffler on it. Then I put 21" knobbys back on it that came with it. One of the back tires had a "wound" on the sidewall, so I had tire shop put a boot on it so I could tube them!

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I am in the process of rebuilding / restoring it and have been looking for any info on them but it seems to be damn near impossible to find.
