Valve lash adj.

Hi guys, newbie here........
Been reading and looking for the valve lash adjustment on these 6.5 hp clone engines, not much success.
Anyone know what the stock adj. is? A video I watched said .003 on the exhaust, but what about intake, both the same?
Engine has a couple hundred hours on it, lifters are getting noisy. I can slip a .005 under each.

Unlike many others, the valve lash tends to get wider as these engines come up to temp, so you don't usually need to be concerned about setting it too tight. Some set it as close as they can to zero.

Just make sure that engine is cold boss...when nmaking that adjustment.

I run 0 lash cold. Just enough slack to feel the push rods will turn free.
You don't need a feeler gauge with these engines

Wow I've never heard this. I run 2 and 4 now. Was running 4 and 6 for the longest but tried 2/4 and there was a slight difference.

These engines make lash as they warm up. As long as the valves remain fully seated they seem happy at or near zero

Both of you are correct
I run zero also, and also run 2-4. To me it depends on what cam I'm running. And yes it loosens up when it gets up to temp.
