Wal-bro carb

My friends said that if i wanted my 5hp briggs to perform better i should put a wal-bro carb on it. What do the look like and what is the history behind it?

Walbro makes a multitude of different carbs. Whatever you choose you will need a manifold. I buy the cheap Tillotson billet manifolds, plug the pulse hole, and use the China adjustable Tecumseh carb, They are cheap and you can adjust the high and low.
Walbro makes the "slide" type carbs for the Briggs Animal and World Formula engines. They are nice, but pricey
