want to build a 25+hp clone

#1
im thinking of starting to build a clone and id like to try and get 25-30hp on gas. already have a flat-top piston, ordered a .020 rod. I need ideas for the top end set-up, and id like a big cam, mayb a 356 or bigger lift cam and a matching set-up. Im building a bike to run 1/4 mile. any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

These guys do it for a living and 15 hp is pretty extreme!!!
But if you gave a few grand you might have a shot!
You will need a turbo or forced induction to get over 20 hp on a 6.5 clone block.

Well for a start I would read this AGK - Performance Basics - Affordable Go Karts

And be prepared to have an extremely thin wallet if you want 25hp+. I would start with a genuin Honda engine if you want to get 25hp out of it. Just because I've seen clone engine blocks crack with their governors removed.

Good luck and be prepared to spend $$$$$
This guy is right
Also you would need a bigger than stock size motor. The bigger the easier to.make power with.

This is what you want, pull start, gasoline, at least 25hp

If you have never built it before you can't tell us the combo of parts to run.

how much would it cost to put this motor combo together?

I thought about that kit some more. Its must be a 208cc short block. You can buy a new z-208 motor from b-mkarting.com and with bigger valves in the head for $140.
