What clutch do I need for a FOX mini bike. 212 engine, 12in tires

#1
Hello everyone.

I just got my first mini bike, I believe it is a FOX Sundowner. It has 12in tires and I'm planning on putting in a 212 predator engine. What clutch should I use? Should I go for the torque converter? Any help would be very appreciated.

You would be better off posting a pic. Welcome to the madness.
I believe sundowners came with a Sachs engine so you might need to weld a plate down to mount the engine.
Some foxes used torqe converters. That's why we need a pic.

Are you the guy I spoke to via live chat today? Just curious how others will weigh in on my advice.

I believe I am. I spent some time looking at the TAVs, this is what I'm planning on going with. I want to get the most from my setup I can. I'm concerned about the quality of the one you recommended. I don't want to spend $100.00 on a unit that I can't get parts for, when $180.00 will get a quality unit.

If you have the cash to spend, spend away.
Name brand and available parts to me, wins everytime.
Price, not so much.

Let's see this Foooooxxxx!

But maybe I'm wrong. I'm completely new to this, so I've got a lot to learn.
As I said, you'll be grinding 1/3 of the gusset off the mounting plate. The only weak link in the clone TAV is the belt. Order a spare comment belt and you're good to go.

This is it, I just put the 212 in the frame this weekend. I was hoping to get up and running using mostly stock parts... but I need air filter, exhaust, motor mount, and a jet for the carb.
