What will I need to swap my minibike engine for a 6.5hp/ 212cc Predator Engine?

Just need to know what parts I will need to make the switch.

I will be installing it on a Murray Track 2 Minibike, which currently has the stock 3.5hp Tecumseh power sport engine and stock twist throttle.

If there are any helpful links out there that will also explain how to go about doing this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't think you will need anything to swap it over...but I'm not sure if I seen somewhere that the airfilter or exhaust might have to come off before you Install the engine. Should work ok and you are going to like tha POWER !!!!!!!

It seems to me that something would have to be done with the throttle, because the throttle on the Murray has a spring loaded assembly and the Predator is set up with a throttle that stays in place based upon where you move the lever to.

As for the clutch, I suppose the original would work, but I am thinking that it may not be engineered to handle the additional power. of course, it may not fit anyway.

Wellcome to oldminibikes.com!

The Predator has a different shaft size is 3/4" ...the clutch on the 3.5 Tecumseh will not work with the predator. A new exhaust will also be needed for the predator swap.
I am getting ready to do a Murray build myself with the same motor.
People on here have built some really impressive Murrays in the passed!
