What years did Tecumseh place points under the flywheel but external coil outside above flywheel?

Hi,
In the 1960's and 1970's, Tecumseh used a magneto (points, condenser, and coil)
located behind the flywheel. And I understand that it is difficult to change these
engines over to electronic ignitions.

By about the mid-1980's, Tecumseh changed over to electronic ignition, (CDI
solid state) located outside and above the flywheel mounted on bosses on the
side the cylinder.

But I understand that prior to the electronic ignition, Tecumseh moved the coil to
be located external, outside and above the flywheel mounted on some bosses on the side
of the cylinder, while keeping the points and condenser behind the flywheel.
Does anyone know what years of engines had this configuration? Might it be the
early 1980's just before electronic ignition was introduced?

I understand that on these engines, the recommendation is to just change over to
electronic ignition by mounting the solid state module on the same bosses, but in-place
of the external coil.
Thanks for any information.

I'm not sure on application but I've seen a Tecumseh coil and solid state module that mounted inside the flywheel, they pop up in my searches for HM100 or 10hp engine parts.
