Anything past 6,000 RPM

Kart racers will tell you as soon as you remove the govenor, but the flywheels are not that cheap. It you have a real Honda flywheel they are stronger and can handle a lot more RPM.

My buddy turns his stock gx200 flywheel over 7,500 RPM.

if you're just removing the governor getting a billet flywheel isn't that necessary. if you can afford it it's not a bad idea to get one.

i would get a billet rod before i worried about getting a flywheel.

I am getting that AGK stage one kit with the 18# springs and a 90 jet, intake and stage 2 header. That is all I had planned other then the governor.

Yes that's good advice, the billet rod is needed first before anything. If that kit comes with one then that's all you will need for now.

flywheel

I removed the gov, put in med strength valve springs, mikuni22mm with fuel pump, and pulse manifold and the flywheel exploded and turned my engine into a paperweight, I was lucky not to get hurt and lucky all my hp parts are fine because they cost more than the clone engine!

get a billet flywheel if not for performance for saftey because you should see how bad it dented the mounting plate.

scroll down to see pics after the flywheel decided to shatter

buy a better flywheel before you buy anything else your a billet flywheel should outlast the engine it is on and defiantly make the engine its on last longer at least it will if its a clone

Next time on a real GX200, or GX160 flywheel. Much stronger
