Your Job or Occupation

I, my friends have no job, and will never work again, in a shop or business because I am a liability to anyone who would employ me..
Back in 1985 this idiot, fresh out of prison, saw what I had, and wanted it, and tried to take it from me. Now you're asking yourself, "what could Dave of had, that was worth fighting over?" , Well, I had a very colorful life, My girl, My kids, My tools, My home, My cars, and My toys,, I had life going on, This guy comes along and sweet talks to girl, and, I don't know maybe she was mad at me at the time or what, but she gives herself to him, then see each other behind my back for 7 months, oh yea I got wise to it, and when I did, lightening and thunder broke out all over the place, needless to say Dave went to jail that night and when the dust settled I was facing 2 counts of Domestic Violence and 2 counts of assult on a police officer. When I finally got to return home, the girl was in the home for battered women and my home was a turned upside down, well the girl was making a big thing out of nothing, so she could go to heck as far as I was concerned, I cleaned up the home, and went accross the street to chat with my neighbors, Upon my return to my own home, this idiot took a 12 guage shot gun, and tried to kill me!!! His first shot went thru my left elbow, second shot missed my right leg, third shot went thru my right elbow, and his 4th attempt, was me giving him a heart shot to end my misery, because I knew my life was over, as both arms were bleeding and just dangeling. His shot gun was empty, so he didn't get that last shot, I believe that the good Lord was there that night, because we both braced ourselves for it, needless to say, my life changed that night, and I've pretty much tried to live by the "Golden Rule" and the 10 commandments, since.
To all you fellow minibike nuts, I want to say Nothing in this world is worth fighting over, as far as you woman goes, first of all they never forget the things you say, in the heat of the moment, and as stuff builds against you then she maybe looking at someone else, to get over you, and who knows how crazy of a person he will be.
The best thing any man can do is when he sences that a fight is brewing, walk away, cool off, take the night out, then go home, if the problem is still there when you go back, leave again, 3 or 4 times, If she really loves you, she'll calm down cause she wonders who or where you've been, never tell, even if it's just fishing, if all she wants to do after you think you've left enuff times, is fight then a good separation is in order!!!

I am an HVAC technician/installer. Been doing it for 13 years now and I am presently working for a company that does mostly remodeling work which is nice because the job is different every day. However, I did get a degree in Commmercial Art right out of High School but didn't get into the field at the right time. I still do some stuff on the side, mostly when I feel like it.

Glad to hear you'er back to work! I grew up in a boat shop [small freshwater lake boats]. Much of that time it was "pre-fiberglass".

In the mid ninties I sold my uniform business, bought a 44' catamaran in South Africa and spent the next 6 years sailing it most of the way around the world with my wife.

During those years we were gone, you guys screwed up everything (that's a sort of joke), then 9-11 happened in 2001, the market bottomed out, and we were pretty broke.

Came back and in 2004 started publishing TheHomeMag, a home improvement advertising magazine mailed monthly to over 100,000 homes in each area we serve. Today, there are 27 TheHomeMags, franchised by my partner, while i operate 2 here in SoCal.

The crunch the last 2 years has been awful, but like all of you, we have found a way to survive until business gets better.

On a happy note, even during these slow times i have been able to afford my minibike habit!! So, all is not lost!
