cool little kart. never seen one like that before.....:shrug: looks like it was made in the same time frame as the minibikes where, from looking at the ID tag. ID tag is the same style tag they use on the gilson/wards minibikes. two end tab's bend over and into the holes and holds ID in place.

Rare early 70's Gilson fun kart, they did not very many of them, good find. Please post a photo when you get it done. I've been restoring one of the aluminum Gilson Excalibur Jr racers as time allows. Ken
VERY nice project.....I love the unusual...very similar to the riding mowers of the day in design (less deck & blades)....The "super sport" version :smile::smile:
Thanks, I'm looking foward to the test drive. The chain guard was missing when I bought it but after some research I found one of the 5hp snowblowers that Gilson built had a simular guard.
