Matter a fact I work at O'reilly's. The only tool we have is the giant c-clamp, which is what I have. I never thought about compressing it and tying it together. Thanks!:thumbsup:

Anyone have any home remedies for installing these bad boys? C-clamp isn't doing it for me and I'd rather not spend the money for the tool.

Well, dual valve spring kit came in and one of the lockers broke during installation. I emailed the supplier and hopefully they will send me another one. I was using a c-clamp. Anyone else have any advice on how to Install them.

Is there a way to fix the dowels? I have the .265 duration 235/235 cam but plan on going bigger. Engine is fed with a Walbro PZ26.

My buddy has one of the predator big valve heads he wants to trade me for my gx160 head. Is this worth the trade? I currently am using the gx160 for higher compression. Will the valve train all transfer over, springs, push rods? Thank you SJ

Ordered dual valve locking set-up from smallenginecams.com Going to start stripping the frame this week and handing it over to my buddy for the paint job.

Have some bugs to work out, Jackshaft keyway kept coming out around 55 MPH and the valves seem like they're floating, mainly due to the 18lb springs I currently have in. This week I should be able to install the 26lb valve springs and get another test in.

Also, would I be able to keep the gx160 head?

I talked to the local machine shop and he said the lowest bore he can do is 2.7~ which is good to hear. I priced some sleeves and for only $45 it's not a bad deal. If I get a 3" bore with sleeve I'm assuming I could keep the stock length billet rod I have now, that way I wouldn't have to mill...

Which long run? Did the piston have to be shaved down?
