.020 over bore piston, will it fit?

#1
So i am need of an upgrade and i saw on ebay a .020 overbore flat top piston and rings set for $25.00. Would i be able to fit this bad boy in with cylinder without having to bore it?

Also can i use a gx140 flywheel on my gx200 clone?

EDIT: i just double checked and its a dished piston not a flat top :( so what would you guys do...flat top piston or over bore??

If I understand your question correctly, a .020" overbore piston, would require you to bore the cylinder over, to fit the piston. Scott.

gx140 is the 5hp (production 1984-1993). From the part numbers that I have found it does in fact show that the gx 140 and gx 160 share the same flywheel. So it should be 4 deg advanced when you install this flywheel.

I was reading on 4cycle a while back that the GX140 flywheel has a smaller taper than the GX200. I have a 140 flywheel so I could compare dimensions if anyone has them for the 200 FW.

To answer the other question, an 0.020" oversize piston definitely will not fit in a stock cylinder without boring it to fit.
