Aluminum vs. steel sprocket

Just a quick question in regard to using an aluminum or steel rear sprocket. I'm getting ready to order a new sprocket along with a few other parts.
Which is the better choice? I'd like to change out the 74 to a 60 tooth sprocket. Preparing to install the Predator engine.

Well, not all bicycles use steel chainrings. My bicycle has an aluminum crankset with aluminum sprockets....but the rear gear cluster is steel, of course. :wink:

Steel is best but aluminum is fine with good chain and perfect alignment !

With a big sprocket weight is also a concern...using Teflon chainsaver spray..see no problem

If racing aluminum for weight savings.

For durability steel.

If your rich have some titanium machined
