Post up those beers!

My wife picked up some beers for me at the fancy beer store last weekend. North Coast Brewing Old Rasputin XXIV was the standout. I need more of it.

I made beer for 20 years….never drank a drop….couldn’t keep it….if it wasn’t my son in law it was the local sheriff and the crew at work….had a few offers on my recipe, but alas it’s stuck somewhere for my daughter to find….made it from honey…

I have spent lots of time and money making beer and buying the equipment to make and bottle it. Come to think of it, I spend lots of time drinking it too! IPAs are my favorite. One of my favorite beers is from a local brewery here in Michigan named "Rochester Mills Beer Co."

LMAO….when I was in Panama we drank hamms two at a time….good beer….$1.50 a case at the PX…..sand blas’ loved it too….

Been sticking to the german stuff lately.
German beer purity laws only allow 4 ingredients in their beer: water, malt, yeast, hops.
No rice, no corn, no adjuncts. Nothing artificial and very balanced.

I like Hamm’s and made an effort to try it because it’s one of those old timey beers and the Hamm’s Bear commercials were fun.

Next I want to try Quint’s beer, Narragansett?

I had Hacker Pschorr once in a German restaurant, I think it was the dunkle weisse and with the meal I was eating, it was the best beer I’d ever had at that time. You can tell it is good from the purity laws.

Would be neat to try making a german style beer; I’ve often toyed with the idea

The Hamm’s Brewery ( there were others across the Country) opened in 1954 in San Francisco. It had an Iconic roof top 13 foot Illuminated Chalice that continuously filled with Beer. Coming into San Francisco from the Bay Bridge signaled that you were almost home.
