Brand new bonanza frames

Not exactly a copy - He owns the name, and has resurrected the company. They are the real deal, just brand new.

Kinda like you can buy a new Taco nowadays too...built by dave Miller.
I really don't think Dave cares if he sells them or not. I have been to his shop and seen his attitude which is" here it is if you want it,and this is the price ". All I know is he started the company again and keeps making more Bonanza stuff. He is even making the parts bags. Some one must be buying his stuff or he wouldn't be making more and more stuff.

But the new Camaro isn't a copy of the old one. :thefinger: And the new GTO totally SUCKED in style! LOL!
Maybe I should have used the new Mustang or the new Challenger as an example. Either way I'd rather have the original, but they are what they are...

Of course he sells stuff. There's plenty of guys that have the money to spend. If I had all the money I've spent on all my Minibike stuff, I could by several of those overpriced ones...

Not me, I'd have a crew restoring them while I shop for more! :thefinger:

A few years back Caroll Shelby built a limited number of "new" 427SC Cobras. He started the CSX numbers where he left off back in 1966. Are they real Cobras? Yes. Are they a 1965 Cobra? That depends on your point of view. They were built over 30 years later. He used left over parts and what he didn't have he manufactured. He took orders at $500,000.00 each.

Dave Miller didn't own Bonanza back then, but he was affiliated with them. He is the only person that cares enough to reproduce them so why not. If I was rolling in dough I would by one just because. Personally I prefer a nice clean original, there is something really kool about finding a survivor.

Some real good points pros and cons. We as an Americian people need to restimulate our declining economy some how I see threads complaining about the chineese taking over this country and its due to nobodys fauly except our own this country was built by PROUD Americians who worked in factorys that use to stamped made in USA just as Dave Miller is doing with Bonanza and Joe Rivello with Tacominibikes. Like injuntom said the overhead for running your own business is gone through the roof and as also stated Dave's making parts so someone is asking for them and buying them.
I agree and love getting my hands dirty cleaning up a forgotten rusty mini bike and breathing new life into it.
Like I said earlier Dave Millers stuff is NOT for the faint of heart but it is made in AMERICA!! for what thats worth:thefinger:

but there's another side to that coin (GTO says in his Robert Dinero voice)

Colt made 1911 pistols for the military that where used in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam,, later in the 90's Colt decided to make copy's and lots of people bought them and they cost a lot more than they did then but which one is more sought after today and 100 years from now? :001_tongue:

Couldn't agree more. Like I said, I prefer a nice clean original, be it a minibike, Colt 1911, or a 1873 lever action Winchester. But I am still glad Dave Miller is making parts. His MX pipe fits perfect and the quality is second to none. As for the lever action, I found a unfired Cimarron reproduction short rifle last year at the Vallejo gun show for a fraction of the cost of the real thing, and I won't feel bad about shooting it.

Oh, I'm not knocking the guy at all and it's always good to see repo parts. BTW, I've sold lots of those guns, we are a direct dealer, some of the levers are pretty neat but a few SA's have come back for repair. (possible reloaders.) :eek:ut:

And yes I have a modern 94 shorty. DOH!

i try not to buy stuff from people that type with the caps lock on. it irritates the shit out of me and makes what they type harder to read.

if it's a CL ad and i see all caps, i usually don't even bother with it.
